Niseko Backcountry Tours – Ultimate Powder Adventures

Our Niseko backcountry tours provide exclusive, pure backcountry hiking access to some of Niseko’s most spectacular surrounding peaks, specifically designed for experienced skiers and split-boarders seeking the ultimate powder adventure. These premium expeditions take you far beyond the resort boundaries into untouched wilderness where every turn writes your own story in pristine snow.

Safety remains our absolute priority in the backcountry environment. We maintain intimate group sizes with only 5 people per certified guide, ensuring personalized attention, enhanced safety protocols, and the ability to adapt to each group member’s skills and comfort level. This optimal ratio allows us to navigate challenging terrain confidently while maintaining the flexibility to discover some of the most incredible, untracked powder stashes that Niseko has to offer.

World Class Terrain and Hidden Gems

Experience arguably the best tree skiing in the world as we guide you through Niseko’s legendary birch forests and open glades. Our backcountry tours unlock access to hidden gems and secret spots that can only be discovered through years of local knowledge and backcountry expertise. These exclusive locations offer the steepest and most challenging terrain in the Niseko region, specifically curated for advanced riders looking to push their limits and experience Niseko at its absolute finest.

Escape the Crowds, Embrace the Freedom

Leave the resort crowds and frustrating lift lines behind as you step into your own private backcountry playground. Here, you’ll have entire mountain faces and pristine bowls to yourself, where every single line that gets tracked comes from you or your fellow adventurers. There’s simply no feeling that compares to carving fresh tracks through untouched powder, knowing that you’re experiencing something truly special that most visitors will never see.

We Also Offer Introductory Backcountry Tours

For those looking to enter the world of backcountry touring in a safe, supportive, and thoroughly enjoyable environment, we offer specialised introductory backcountry tours. These carefully designed low-impact excursions provide access to stunning terrain while maintaining a comfortable pace that suits your experience level and fitness.

Our introductory tours include thorough preparation sessions where we’ll help you understand backcountry safety, equipment usage, and mountain awareness. Throughout the day, our experienced guides share valuable tips, techniques, and insights that will maximise your experience and build your confidence for future backcountry adventures.

Exclusive Add-On – Professional Photography

Add a professional photographer to your backcountry tour who specialises in action and adventure photography. You’ll return home with a carefully curated selection of stunning, high-resolution images that perfectly capture the excitement, beauty, and achievement of your backcountry adventure.

Who does this tour suit?

INTERMEDIATE – ADVANCED

This tour is ideal for intermediate to advanced skiers or boarders who are looking to escape the resorts and start exploring everything the Niseko area has to offer. We will tailor the tour to suit your needs – it can be a high-paced advanced tour with steep and deep lines, or an introductory to backcountry tour where we take it slower and show you how to travel safely in the backcountry while using your equipment effectively. We’ll also ski and board at your level – you won’t feel like you’re being pushed above your comfort zone to keep up, nor will you be held back from unleashing your inner shredder.
