About our Niseko backcountry tours

Our Niseko backcountry tours offer pure backcountry hiking access to some of Niseko’s best surrounding peaks for skiers and splitboarders. We will keep you safe in the mountains with only 5 people per guide while discovering some of the most amazing, untracked powder, along with arguably the best tree skiing in the world and all the hidden gems that can only be found on a backcountry tour. This tour can access some of the steepest terrain in the Niseko region and is aimed at getting you away from the crowds and into the best Niseko has to offer. The bonus is you will avoid the lift lines and have a whole backcountry area to shred. Every line that goes in will either come from you or your friends – it’s the best feeling there is.

We also offer introductory backcountry tours for those looking to get into touring in a safe and enjoyable way. This is a low-impact tour that will access amazing terrain at a pace that suits you. We will help you prepare for a day in the backcountry and give you tips along the way to maximise your experience.

As a bonus, you will be accompanied by a professional photographers so you will come away from the day with a selection of amazing, high resolution images from your day. These images will be delivered to you via our online gallery, giving you the freedom to view, download or print them at your leisure. We have been providing this service on all of our tours for over a decade so we really know what we’re doing.

You can also upgrade to our professional videography package for an additional ¥50,000 to include an edited short film of your trip also.

Who does this tour suit?

INTERMEDIATE – ADVANCED

This tour is ideal for intermediate to advanced skiers or boarders who are looking to escape the resorts and start exploring everything the Niseko area has to offer. We will tailor the tour to suit your needs – it can be a high-paced advanced tour with steep and deep lines, or an introductory to backcountry tour where we take it slower and show you how to travel safely in the backcountry while using your equipment effectively. We’ll also ski and board at your level – you won’t feel like you’re being pushed above your comfort zone to keep up, nor will you be held back from unleashing your inner shredder.
