The non negotiablesOur Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Fees & Refunds:
- 30 days before the tour date – 50% refund
- Within 30 days or less of tour – 0% refund.
*Exceptions – In the event of a natural or man made disaster, including but not limited to an earthquake, tsunami, volcano, pandemic, nuclear meltdown or war that causes us to cease our entire operations or means you are unable to make your tour due to flight cancellations and travel restrictions, tour dates will be transferrable to another date.
Additional Conditions:
Occasionally bad weather or dangerous conditions may lead to the decision to cancel a tour for both staff and client safety. We normally are able to head to other resorts to avoid such problems and Niseko Photography & Guiding reserve the right to make these decisions on grounds of Health & Safety. If the tour is cancelled at the decision of the guide, money will be fully refunded. If the tour is started and then cancelled at the decision of the guide due to bad weather or dangerous conditions, money will not be refunded but we will still try to make the most of the day. A cancellation fee may occur in some cases if customers cancel the tour for their own reasons as outlined below.
We will normally pick groups up from their accomodation. Please be on time and ready to leave. If you are meeting us at a designated meeting spot, please arrive on time. Bookings cannot go beyond the scheduled finishing time. Non-arrival 30 minutes after scheduled starting time is considered a no-show, and is not refundable.

Use of Images

- Photographs, video and edits provided by Niseko Photography & Guiding to their clients and guests are released and licensed for individual and personal use only.
- Any companies or individuals wishing to use any shots, footage, films or edits taken by Niseko Photography & Guiding staff for commercial purposes, must expressly outline these intentions as a commercial license fee will be applicable.
- It is strictly prohibited to circulate for commercial or promotional means, any materials taken by the company without our express permission.
Model Release

- When you book a tour with us you give Niseko Photography & Guiding the unrestricted right and permission to copyright and use, re-use, sell, publish, and republish photographic portraits or pictures of you (or in which you may be included) in all media including illustration, art, promotion, advertising, trade, or any other purpose whatsoever.
- However, we want you to feel comfortable and happy at all times on our tours so if you are not happy with us using your photos, if you inform us in writing in advance of your tour we can organise for them not be used for commercial purposes.
Insurance

- All of Niseko Photography & Guiding’s customers and staff are insured for injury and rescue when on a tour with us. This includes medical evacuation via helicopter if required and hospitalisation and treatment up to a certain amount.
- However this only covers hospitalisation in Japan and does not include ongoing treatment in your own country, nor if you need to be flown home. Thus for this reason it is paramount that customers also obtain your own travel insurance.
- For all customers going backcountry your insurance must also cover backcountry skiing and snowboarding with a guide.
