In Focus: Touring Hokkaido’s Backcountry
Andi, Ingrid and Geli came in early January and embarked on a five day backcountry tour around Central Hokkaido with Lead Photographer & Guide Darren Teasdale.
They were nervous about the conditions as Japan had been experiencing a very dry December, but with careful planning and detailed weather forecasting Darren got them into the deepest snow in Hokkaido.
Who said Japan had no snow this January?? You just need to know where to look.
